Abstract

[Please download the "README.txt" file for instructions]

We present the Stanford I2V dataset, a large-scale dataset which is useful for research on the problem of querying a video database using images. We have collected more than 3,800 hours of newscast videos and annotated more than 200 ground-truth queries. The dataset can be visually explored at http://blackhole1.stanford.edu/vidsearch/dataset/stanfordi2v.html .

We also introduce the Video Bookmarking dataset, which makes use of the same database videos as the Stanford I2V dataset, but introducing a different query set. The application modeled by this dataset corresponds to the case where a user is interested in retrieving the video being played using a picture of a display, e.g., to resume playback in a different device.
