Abstract/Contents

Abstract: This polygon shapefile represents annual average wind power in the continental United States. It shows multiple values and attributes corresponding to wind power intensity. This layer is part of a collection of GIS data for renewable and electric energy in the U.S. This layer is from the 2013 Spring Quarter update (Update 1011).
Purpose: This layer can be used for analyzing wind speeds and wind density in the united states.
