Abstract
This polygon shapefile represents annual average wind power in the continental United States. It shows multiple values and attributes corresponding to wind power intensity. This layer is part of a collection of GIS data for renewable and electric energy in the U.S. This layer is from the 2013 Spring Quarter update (Update 1011).
Purpose
This layer can be used for analyzing wind speeds and wind density in the united states.
