2014 Targa Sixty-Six
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
Race car drivers can offer insights into vehicle control at the limits of handling. These files are part of a collection from the Revs Program at Stanford that provides open access to data from expert drivers under real racing conditions with the aim to facilitate analysis of vehicle control under extreme operating conditions.
This item contains data and video from a 1965 Ferrari 250 LM driven during the 2014 Targa Sixty-Six at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Florida. The car was driven during six race sessions over two days, each with up to three separate outings.
Each outing has two associated data files: a Comma Separated Values (.csv) file and a MATLAB MAT-file (.mat). The text file 'channels.txt' contains a description of the CSV data channels, including units. An additional CSV file '250lm.csv' contains relevant vehicle parameters including wheel base and mass measurements.
Data files and two example video files are located on this PURL page. All other associated video files can be found at https://purl.stanford.edu/qy650sk8658.
The file names follow the convention 'date_session_outing_driver_vehicle'.
