Woodframe Project Case Studies

The objective of these Case Studies is to record, in a consistent format, studies of woodframe buildings damaged in the Northridge Earthquake of 1994 to benefit the building community as well as the other Element of the CUREE-Caltech Woodrame Project, namely:

• The Codes and Standards Element, to develop new design guidelines and Code provisions;
• The Economic Aspects Element, to improve loss estimation for woodframe buildings;
• The Education and Outreach Element, to develop education tools for various constituencies.
