2013 Targa Sixty-Six
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
Race car drivers can offer insights into vehicle control at the limits of handling. These files are part of a collection from the Revs Program at Stanford that provides open access to data from expert drivers under real racing conditions with the aim to facilitate analysis of vehicle control under extreme operating conditions.
This item contains data and video from a 1963 Corvette Grand Sport driven during the 2013 Targa Sixty-Six at Palm Beach International Raceway in Jupiter, Florida. The car was driven during three race sessions, each with one or two separate outings.
Each outing has two associated data files: a Comma Separated Values (.csv) file and a MATLAB MAT-file (.mat). The text file 'channels.txt' contains a description of the CSV data channels, including units. An additional CSV file 'grandsport.csv' contains relevant vehicle parameters including wheel base and mass measurements.
Data files and one example video file are located on this PURL page. All other associated video files can be found at https://purl.stanford.edu/yj807zw8315.
The file names follow the convention 'date_session_outing_driver_vehicle'.
