Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
- This dataset was presented at the International Society for Music Information Retrieval's (ISMIR) 2019 conference in Delft, The Netherlands. The dataset consists of 457 MIDI and audio transcriptsion of Red Welte-Mignon piano rolls scanned by the Stanford Libraries' Digital Production Group in 2018 and 2019. The source TIFF images are available separately in the Stanford Digital Repository. Software for extracting the raw MIDI information from the TIFF images is available at https://github.com/pianoroll/roll-image-parser and software for applying expression (dynamics) to the final MIDI expression files is available at https://github.com/pianoroll/midi2exp. Audio renderings are provided in WAV and MP4 formats, which were created using Reaper software and Ivory II software synthesizer.
