Karmate: Collects driver data and syncs to your phone
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
- Karmate is an innovative, self-aware, holistic automotive interface which is completely in tune with the car and driver. It has location tracking via GPS, can identify when the car has an urgent problem or is due for a tune up, can tailor to the users’ driving habits and can gauge the degree of damage to the car, driver and passengers in the case of an accident. Moreover, it recognizes every part and function of the car and connects it to a main database which can be accessed either online or through the Karmate app on any smart phone. Any car with Karmate is able to customize to each user by gathering information about all aspects of the driver: the driver’s physique, driving habits (for example braking too quickly which jerks the car), usual stops (for example the grocery or gas stations), user preferences (such as favorite radio stations and the distance of the driver’s seat from the steering wheel) and each user’s schedule. It is self-aware, connects with its users, and connects the different users to each other.
