Laboratory for Social Research Technical Report Series (1961-1985), Stanford University Department of Sociology

Abstract/Contents

Abstract
Between 1961 and about 1990, many faculty members and a few graduate students at the Stanford Department of Sociology produced a steady flow of research manuscripts called Technical Reports (1961-1985) and/or Working Papers (1984-1990). These documents describe theoretical developments, results of empirical research, new research operations, methods for data analysis, and focused bibliographies. This body of work defines the remarkable intellectual activity that came to be known in the discipline as “Stanford Sociology.” For the Working Papers, see the collection named "Laboratory for Social Research Working Papers (1984-1990) Stanford University Department of Sociology". [Please note: Technical Reports nos. 2-5, no.25, nos. 37-38, nos.88-89, were not assigned and therefore not published. Some TR's are missing from the collection. These include nos. 30, 69, 75,and 81]
