Audi Trainer
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
- Bad driving posture is a bad cause of bad and shoulder problems. Muscle, joint and spine injuries are classified as a medical condition known as Repetitive Driving Injuries (RDI). RDI can develop in people who have long and short commutes. Correct seating posture in cars is difficult to maintain because drivers do not understand how to adjust their seats for the best posture and posture tends to deteriorate over time. Team Audi has used continuous passive motion (CPM) to subtly change spinal curvature and help relieve and prevent back pain. The team has also enlisted robo Motion to help add additional degrees of freedom to increase blood flow and joint movement and help equalize pressure on the spinal column and buttocks.
