Abstract: This polygon dataset contains information that defines the block groups for the Gulf of Mexico Outer Continental Shelf Region. This layer includes data for Q3 2012.
Purpose: This layer is intended to assist users in locating and analyzing information on the Gulf of Mexico's offshore block groups and may be used for basic applications such as viewing, querying, and map output production, or to provide a basemap to support graphical overlays and analysis with other spatial data.
