Seismic Risk Analysis For California State Water Project - Reach B
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
A seismic hazard map for the region described as "Reach B" for the California Water Project is developed in this report. "Reach B" for this work is defined as that portion of the California Water Project which is west of the branch of Tehachapi Afterbay. The key existing and future facilities within this reach include:
1. Oso Pumping Plant
2. Quail Lake
3. Peace Valley Pipeline (future)
4. Pyramid Power Plant (future)
5. Pyramid Dam and Lake
6. Angeles Tunnel
7. Castaic Power Plant
8. Castaic Dam and Lake
9. Castaic Lagoon
10. Southern California 0 & M CenterThis report discusses the iso-acceleration maps. Relative "risks" of various sites and their implications are presented. Data base and seismic sources were discussed in the first report which was about "Reach C" of the California Water Project.
