Reflexes

Abstract/Contents

Abstract

Zoe Ong’s capstone project is a collage of personal poetry and reflections, in an effort to explore the intersection between poetry and human rights advocacy. Her project investigates her own perception of human rights, her relationship to power, education and the interaction between human rights and poetry; the project also presents a discussion guide on poetic work that directly discusses human rights issues and abuses. She hopes that the end result provides space for the reader’s own self-reflection, interaction with creative arts, and introspection, with an orientation towards action and justice in the human rights space.
