Syntactic alternations data: datives and genitives in four varieties of English
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
To further the investigation of syntactic variation in spoken language from a comparative perspective,
two comprehensive and homogeneously annotated datasets are provided for the genitive and dative alternations in four spoken varieties of English: American English (AmE), British English (BrE), Canadian English (CanE), and New Zealand English (NZE). Documentation provides the sources, inclusion criteria, and annotation schemata for the datasets, as well as key references.
