- This study embodies a reservoir analysis, a prediction of future performance under primary depletion and waterflooding, and an economic analysis of the Tensleep Reservior, Quealy Dome Field, Albany County, Wyoming. Reservoir and production data were supplied by the California Oil Company. The results developed in the study represent the author's opinions and not necessarily the opinions of the California Oil Company.The reservoir analysis and prediction of future performance are based on material-balance relations above bubble point for an understated oil reservoir with a natural water drive. The Dykstra-Parsons and Buckley-Leverett methods were used to predict performance for the proposed "inverted" seven-spot waterflood. The economic analysis consists of the determination of a purchase price for the Tensleep sand, assuming that a waterflood is initiated and the reservoir produces oil as predicted. Both a cash purchase and an ABC transaction are used to determine the fair market value of the property. Assuming that a reserved production payment is used in acquiring the property, an analysis is made of the residual property owner's common stock, so that the equity payment in the ABC transaction may be made through common stock if desired.
