Abstract
Future training and education systems must be mentally stimulating and provide different users with the flexibility to tailor the system to their own needs. They should provide the user with knowledge that cannot be gained as easily through printed material. They should also allow the instructor to easily update the system without deep computer knowledge. This paper describes a multi-media educational system for teaching large-scale construction field operations. It first describes the main objectives in developing this system, then describes the methodology used for the development. A discussion of one of the system's modules then follows.
