Biographical/Historical | H. K.(Henry Kwock) Wong (1907-1985) was a businessman and community leader in San Francisco's Chinatown, as well as a journalist and historian. He was born in San Francisco. In 1957 he wed Honey Quan and the two had a son, Wesley Wong. H. K. Wong's involvement in San Francisco's Chinese community includes being president of the Chinatown Chamber of Commerce, the creation of the Chinese New Year festival in the city, co-founding the Chinese History Society of America, and more. |
