- Brian Elliot graduated from Stanford with a bachelor’s degree in public policy in 2003. In this interview, he talks about coming out to his family and friends while in high school in St. Louis, Missouri; memories of the small gay community at Stanford in the late 1990s and early 2000s; and founding Camp Kesem, a camp for children whose parents have cancer. He describes the gay community at the Harvard Business School and speaks about his career as an entrepreneur, including advocating for the LGBTQ community by launching the app FriendFactor and his career pivot to executive coaching and personal development. He offers his views on the current LGBTQ movement and advice to the current LGBTQ community at Stanford.
