John Cage Disc Collection

- Abstract
- The John Cage Disc Collection consists of eighteen instantaneous discs, featuring live recordings of works predominately by Cage, captured between the late 1930s and early 1950s. The performers in each instance are often unidentified. Other composers featured include Lou Harrison and Bill Russell. The collection was donated to the Archive of Recorded Sound by Gordon Mumma in 2000 who himself received the collection from Cage in the early 1970s.
