- This collection contains documents pertaining to the reconstruction of Hanna House following the 1989 earthquake. Included are the full report from Rutherford & Chekene, consulting engineers, on the wall testing program, 1998; repair proposal and construction schedule, 1995; Hanna House Recommendations for Seismic Repair and Conservation of Historic Features by the Architectural Resources Group, Feb. 1991; and 21 photographs of the interior and exterior by Monica Griesbach for the Architectural Resources Group, May 1998.

Biographical/Historical | Hanna House, formerly the home of Paul and Jean Hanna on the Stanford University campus, was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, using a hexagonal grid system. Construction was begun in 1937 and continued in four stages over 25 years. The house suffered structural damage in the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. |
