The TheaterGame
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
- The TheaterGame/TheaterTour, an instructional system that the learner uses in the study of drama, consists of modules that are appropriate for self-directed learning and introductory humanities classes, as well as more advanced theater and English courses. The FAD project, a second phase of the complete coureseware development plan, will create a prototype system that integrates videodisc images and movies from productions of Hamlet, computer-based tutorials, and a theater blocking simulation into a coherent network of instructional activities. The courseware will serve both as a prototype of a more complex system, for which funding is currently being sought, and as an adjunct instructional program for use in the Spring, 1986 Quarter by the faculty author, Professor Larry Friedlander. The prototype will be developed in conjunction with the Learning Laboratory of WNET, New York and YES, Stanford
