Abstract/Contents

Abstract
My dissertation focuses on the figure of Saint Francis in the Divine Comedy. Particularly, the work wants to analyze Francis as a political role for Dante due to the value of Franciscan poverty. Moreover, it draws parallelism and discrepancies between the two medieval figures from an eco-theological perspective.
