Dr. Trina Wiggins is a board-certified pediatrician in Las Vegas, Nevada. She attended Stanford University, where she received a BA degree in human biology and was the first African American on Stanford University Women’s Gymnastics Team. After graduating from Stanford University, she attended medical school at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, and completed her internship and residency at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. She has worked in the public and private sectors, including volunteering with Volunteers in Medicine for over ten years. Besides being a pediatrician, she competes in fitness and dance competitions. She has competed in over 50 shows over the past 19 years, with many top-place finishes. In 2011, she placed first in Fitness America Classic, and in 2019, she was named the AAU 2019 North American Bodybuilding and Fitness Athlete of the Year. More recently, in December 2021, she competed in the World Fitness Forum and received first place, and in September 2022, she won gold at the Nevada State Senior Olympics. In addition to practicing medicine and competing, she became an author in June 2020. During the COVID pandemic, she published her first book, KISS: Keep It Short And Simple For A Healthy, Sustainable Lifestyle. She bundled all her knowledge as a physician, former collegiate athlete, and fitness professional to create the ultimate guide for living a healthy yet simple lifestyle. Her second book, The Sugar Seduction, was published in April 2022. During this stage in her life, her goal is to educate the masses through her books and weekly Facebook Live health talks on Tuesday mornings. She has also been the guest speaker on many podcasts, and most recently, she was the guest on Stanford Pathfinders.She is married to Dr. Carl Allen and has three children and one granddaughter. Her twin sons graduated from Stanford University in June 2017 and were the third set of twins to play for the Stanford Men’s Basketball team. Her daughter is a practicing attorney in Houston, Texas, and her granddaughter is currently in the 11th grade. Furthermore, she continues to be involved with the Stanford community. She is currently the president of the Stanford Club of Southern Nevada, and from 2015-2016 she served as the president of the Stanford National Black Alumni Association.
