Metadata for the earthquakes used to create the RFs for profiles A and B in File 1 (origin time, longitude, latitude, depth, magnitude, directory and file size for raw data).

Stacked receiver functions (RFs) used for imaging the crustal and upper-mantle structure beneath the India-Tibet collision zone (see Figs. 2A and 2B in File 1). The unstacked RFs recorded during the experiment are available, under Chinese law, through collaboration with the senior author.

Data for teleseismic tomography (see Fig. 4 in File 1) used with the code FMTT that can be downloaded from the website: http://rses.anu.edu.au/~nick/teletomo.html. Within our compressed archive, sources.dat.gz and receivers.dat.gz are respectively the files for the source and receiver parameter files, and otimes.dat.gz is the file containing all the picked arrival times for S-waves, including S, sS, ScS, SKS and SKKS. gridc.vtx.gz is the resultant 3D velocity model (see Fig. 4 in File 1). All the travel-time picks are available, under Chinese law, through collaboration with the senior author.

Data for the modeling of satellite gravity data (see Fig. 3 in File 1), downloaded from https://earth-info.nga.mil/GandG/wgs84/gravitymod/egm2008/. Within our compressed archive, directory Gravity_Observed.dat is the observed gravity data, where zga_ia.grd is the GMT grid data file for Fig. S2D, and zga_ia_z.sct1.llz and zga_ia_z.sct2.llz are the data files for the observed gravity curves in Fig. 3 for profiles A and B, respectively (see File 1). Directory Gravity_Results.3.05 contains the synthetic gravity data modeled for the Indian lower crust eclogitized with a density of 3.05 Mg/m3, crust_rf.xyz_tess (in tesseroids format (see https://tesseroids.readthedocs.io/en/latest/) is the gravity model for the Indian lower crust used for forward modelling, crust_rf.xyz_tess_gz.grd is the GMT grid data file for the synthetic data, and zga_rf_z.sct1.llz and zga_rf_z.sct2.llz are respectively the synthetic gravity curves along Profile A and B (see Fig. 3 in File 1). Synthetic data for other density assumptions are in directories Gravity_Results.2.85 to Gravity_Results.3.45.For questions about the data please contact Danian Shi (shidanian@cags.ac.cn) or Simon L.
