Abstract

The four NEHRP agencies -- FEMA, NIST, NSF, and USGS -- funded CUREE to convene a national conference after the Northridge Earthquake of 1994 to bring together researchers and practitioners to assess what had been learned from that event. The four-volume set of papers is the most comprehensive single source of information on that earthquake, spanning the disciplines of Engineering, Social Sciences and Emergency Management, and Earth Science.
