- Abstract
- Eleanor Bark (1912-1999), formerly Mary Eleanor Carlton (Stanford Class of 1935), shares memories of living on the Stanford campus and her involvement with the Stanford University Women’s Club. The interview also provides a sense of the responsibilities of a faculty spouse and includes conversation about the Department of History, Escondido Cottage, and birds on campus. Bark was an assistant director of financial aid for graduate students at the university and was married to William Carroll Bark (1908-1996), a professor of medieval history.
