Bibliographic information

Note Gorgeous early birdseye view of Florence, from Sebastian Munster's Cosmography. Shows the town in excellent detail, dissected by the Arno and connected by 4 bridges. The first signs of the shops which line the Ponte Vecchio are present, although fewer than in modern times. The major landmarks of Florence are clearly identifiable. A fine example, in gorgeous period color.
Note Map shows Europe, Italy.
