- Abstract
- Gladys Kirkman (1907-2010) shares memories of her involvement with the Stanford University Women’s Club and of living in the historic William F. Durand house on the Stanford campus. She also describes some of her volunteer work as a Pink Lady at the Stanford Hospital and fundraising for the School of Medicine, including by donating raffle proceeds for quilts made by a quilting group comprised of faculty wives. Her husband, Hadley Kirkman (1901-1997), was a professor of anatomy at Stanford.
