Performance-based durability engineering (PBDE) assessment scripts
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
Matlab scripts to perform performance-based durability engineering (PBDE) assessment of Hawaiian coastal reinforced concrete infrastructure suffering from corrosion. Assumptions and models used in assessment are described in the paper "A modular framework for performance-based durability engineering: from exposure to impacts" and in the dissertation "A modular framework for performance-based durability engineering." A set of scripts using a convolution-based methodology as well as a set using a Monte Carlo approach are provided.
The included readme file outlines the function of the scripts and how to modify the scripts to (a) alter data such as concrete properties or repair costs, or (b) use the code as a template to set up an entirely new simulation. Flowcharts for these scripts and for a generic PBDE assessment may be found in the dissertation, Appendix C.
