- Abstract
S/HE. But how does one pronounce it? To say "she" leaves out the "he." And that's not our intent. Better to leave a pause between the "s" and the "he."
The Center for Research On Women (CROW) wants to acknowledge the potential of "she" without eliminating the "he." Our intent is to look a little more closely at women in their progression toward a more equal footing with men. Yet we don't want to ignore the new position of men in an increasingly egalitarian society.
S/H E then sets out to focus on all aspects of changing sex roles-seeking input from men and women of all ages, backgrounds and professions. S/HE is not only an additional channel through which CROW can share its discoveries, but also a new and individual form of communication.
At the moment, S/H E's core staff is overworked- though very enthusiastic. We need help from writers, poets, photographers, artists and many more. We would also like feedback on our first issue and suggestions for the forthcoming ones.
