Abstract
The first phase of cataloging piano rolls for the Player Piano Project at the Stanford Archive of Recorded Sound focused on the Denis Condon Collection of Reproducing Pianos and Rolls. From that collection, the first rolls to be cataloged were for the Welte-Mignon reproducing piano. The second set of rolls, whose guidelines are provided in this document, were from the German company Hupfeld. These rolls span from about 1920 to about 1932 and were produced for the Animatic-T or Triphonola reproducing piano.
