Hopkins Marine Station's West Beach Weather Station Data
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
The West Beach Weather Station, established in 1999, is one of two weather stations at the Hopkins Marine Station. We have discontinuous records from the West Beach station since August 1999.
Records are accumulated and averaged every ten minutes 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Standard deviation, minimum and maximum are also recorded for the ten-minute periods. Parameters include: wind speed and direction, temperature, solar irradiance, and humidity. The Station's coordinates are 36.621451° N and 121.905609° W.
Station data is archived here annually. Current West Beach weather station is online and viewable at the Hopkins Marine Life Observatory web site.
