Inflow Performance Relationships for Solution-Gas Drive Horizontal Wells
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
- The inflow performance relationship (IPR) equations reported in the literature were developed for vertical wells. Their applicability to horizontal wells requires verification. In this report, IPR curves are generated through the utilization of commercial simulators for a wide variety of solution-gas drive reservoirs. The shape of these curves is found sensitive to the stage of depletion. However, the curves are not affected significantly by changes in fluid, reservoir, or well characteristics. An attempt is made to develop a correlation. A two parameter equation, that results from combining Vogel's and Fetkovich's equations, is found to provide and adequate match to the generated IPR curves.
