- Abstract
- This polygon shapefile represents the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico of the United States at 1:100,000 scale.This layer also includes demographic data such as population and household information. This layer is part of the 2014 ESRI Data and Maps collection for ArcGIS 10.2.
- Purpose
- U.S. States provides boundaries and demographic information for the U.S. states. The boundaries are consistent with the block group, tract, and county datasets and are effective at regional and state levels.
