Committee on Undergraduate Studies Review Report on AAAS: The Aftermath
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
- The Committee on Undergraduate Studies (CUS, now C-RUM) reviewed AAAS which was in its 10th year and renewed the program for an additional five years. AAAS Faculty Chair Sylvia Wynter and some steering committee members took issue with some language in the CUS report, and Wynter penned a letter in response. Document includes Wynter's summary of review and her response. These documents part of a July 10, 1980 transition report as Wynter transitioned from her Chair's post and Prof. Kennell Jackson took up the Chair position. Note: Scans are made from mimeographed, hole-punched copies made in 1980. The source of the illegible "square" on page four is unknown but is thought to be a redaction or damage.
