Abstract/Contents

Abstract
Javier Matta developed a community-engaged capstone project working with the Agriculture and Land-based Training Association (ALBA). This collaborative project involved analyzing the economic data behind the decline of the American agricultural sector, rural economies, and the historic goal and present status of including immigrant farmers in leadership positions in agriculture. More importantly, through this research, Javier hopes to advocate for increased investment in small-scale farming initiatives that are immigrant-led, as modeled by ALBA programs.
