Abstract

"Everything is interconnected, and in the last four years of college, I've learned that health and medicine is also a process, but one tied together at the core by communication. I have distilled my understanding of the process of creating health in society down to three key components. These three cornerstones of research, education, and policy hold together the roof of the "House of Health" under which my step-grandmother raised me. The arrows represent my science communication efforts that hold together the three cornerstones and push forward the progress of health and wellness.

Here, you can learn how these three cornerstones are critically interdependent and have informed my journey as a health science communicator."
