- The Stanford Faculty Senate had its first meeting in September, 1968. To celebrate its first fifty years, Gerhard Casper, Susan Schofield, Peter Stansky and Ethan Ris briefly presented their reflections on its history and its role in Stanford’s rise to academic prominence. Event attendees including former senate chairs contributed additional insights and perspectives.
