Xpress: Express Yourself
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
- The goal of Xpress is to be able to express your emotions to the other drivers around you that you have interacted with vehicularly. Say that someone has allowed Bob to merge into their lane during heavy traffic. Bob wants to express his gratitude to the other driver so he simply extends his arms in the direction of the car and sends them a thumbs-up. Additionally, Bob says "Thank you," which is picked up by Xpress's voice recognition and dictation technology and is sent to the other driver. Profanity and other inappropriate language will be censored and the user will automatically receive a thumbs-down. Any thumbs-up or thumbs-down a user receives will be recorded and totalled up to be sent to the user's insurance company. Based on the number of thumbs-up and thumbs-down a user has, their payment on insurance will decrease or increase; an incentive to not only use Xpress, but to be a good, considerate driver as well.
