Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
- Set in an unnamed prison, based on Robben Island, two cellmates rehearse for the performance of Sophocles' Antigone with Winston playing Antigone and John playing Creon. The play aligns the situation of Antigone with the situation of Black political prisoners.
