Stanford: A Sentimental Journey
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
- A Sentimental Journey through Stanford's first century includes dazzling views from the foothills to the Bay, to Indonesia, where one Stanford Alumnus is living the vision Senator and Mrs. Leland Stanford initiated one century ago. Produced by KRON-TV in San Francisco and aired as a prime-time special in tribute to Stanford's Cornerstone Weekend in May of 1987, this hour-long program tells the Stanford story through the eyes of distinguished alumni and faculty. Leaders in far-ranging fields, from research to industry, to music to sports, share their moments of glory, the amusing anecdotes along their roads to achievement, and the Stanford connection to their life's work. Punctuated by a backdrop of historic photographs and footage, A Sentimental Journey brings to life the rich heritage that is Stanford's legacy to its second century.
