- James C. Farah graduated from Stanford with a degree in economics in 1968. In this oral history interview, he discusses his upbringing in El Paso, Texas, and describes struggling to come to terms with his sexuality both at Stanford and later when he was married and raising a family. He describes the painful process of coming out to his wife and children later in his life, remembers the frightening time of the AIDS epidemic, and talks about joining Stanford Pride, a Stanford alumni group.
