Azella Perryman
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
- Azella Perryman graduated from Stanford in 2005 with a BA in economics. In this oral history, she discusses her decision to attend Stanford after being recruited for the women’s basketball team, some of the challenges she faced as a student athlete, and how important it was to have the support of her mentors, Debra Gore-Mann and Peter J. Klenow. Perryman also offers advice to Stanford’s athletic department, urging them to work harder to provide practice times that accord with academic schedules for demanding majors and additional resources for career planning and internships for women athletes.
