Published with the oval projection map of the world (Entry 1005). The first Ottoman Turkish book illustrated with woodcuts, and the fourth printed in the Arabic alphabet in the Ottoman empire. Relates the discoveries in the New World, and synthesizes Islamic geographical and cosmographical writings. |
