- Abstract
Layered Lives: Rhetoric and Representation in the Southern Life History Project by Taylor Arnold, Courtney Rivard, and Lauren Tilton, published by Stanford University Press in 2022, has been accessioned into the Stanford Digital Repository. This page serves as the public-facing cover of that archive. The assets in the archive, project content and media files, remain dark while the publication is available in its live version at http://layeredlives.org. The files will only be made accessible when the live publication is no longer supported by evolving server and browser configurations.
All of the original publication's scholarly textual content is contained in this collection's public_html.tar file, a compressed export from the server where the original publication was hosted. All code, content, and media objects are compressed within this file. Assuming a researcher has access to LAMP server (though PHP and databases are not used), they would be able to uncompress this file into the public_html directory to reproduce the project.
For more information about the technical structure of the project, installation dependencies, specifications, and user experience, please read the Documentation file, which can be found at the following URL: https://purl.stanford.edu/zs383fj2189.
For an archived, interactive version of the publication, please view the web archive of the project at https://archive.supdigital.org/layered-lives.html.
