Bibliographic information
Note | Striking regional map of Germany, centered on the Rhine River Valley, from Beinheim and Lueterburg to St. Goar and Ober Wesel, centered on Worms and Manheim. Also shows Heidelberg, Keiserslautern, Frankfurt, Maintz, Phillipsburg, Frankendahl and a host other fortified cities. Large decorative allegorical cartouche, including military scene and a coat of arms. Shows roads, rivers, lakes, mountains, towns, fortified cities, etc. A fine early example of the map, predating Homann's priviledge, with a dark crisp impression. |
