- Arved Plaks gives an overview of his childhood in Tallinn, how he left Estonia, his life as a refugee in Germany and how he immigrated to the USA. Likewise he speaks about leaving both Estonia and Germany and his life in the USA. Other important topics such as the Estonian language, Estonian identity and his contact with Estonia and Estonians are also reflected on.
