- H. K. Wong interviews Sing Lum (born 1904) and wife Mae Foon Wong Lum. Audio File 1: Sing Lum talks about his grandfather Lum Lai Kun establishing roots in Bakersfield in the 1870s, the poor treatment of the Railroad company towards its Chinese workers and that so many are buried along the railroad tracks near Delano, California, also discusses other family members. Audio File 2: Continuation of interview with Sing Lum; conversation with Mae Lum about her marriage, family's history and life in Bakersfield.
