Memories of the Farm
Abstract/Contents
- Abstract
This booklet presents the reminiscences of Stanford community members - alumni, faculty and staff - from the years before and after the arrival of lesbian, bisexual and gay organizing on campus. The earlier stories remind us that homosexuality has always had a presence at the university, carefully elaborated in the interstices of a dominant culture that was at times unaware and at times openly hostile. The later stories suggest something-of the new possibilities and distinct challenges in
an era where lesbian, gay and bisexual students have increasingly moved into the public sphere of campus life.
