- Helgi Kristi Valge recounts her family’s escape from Estonia to Germany, her life during the war and in the prison camps. She also discusses emigrating to the US, trying to integrate there, starting a family and her ties with Estonia. Likewise she reflects on Estonian language, traditions, cultural identity and longing for the country of her birth.
